From a Passion to a Business
The story of KS Koncept began almost 3 years ago, with the purchase of my first 3D printer. From my first prints, I discovered a true passion for this technology and especially for all the possibilities it offered.
I then began to experiment with both 3D printing itself and with designing parts using Fusion 360 software, now called Autodesk Fusion. I spent several hundred hours designing, printing, testing, and improving my creations. I constantly sought to push the boundaries of what I was capable of achieving, creating increasingly complex objects, particularly parts requiring assemblies.
An Idea That Changed Everything
It was after a conversation with a colleague that an idea took shape: an automatic closing flap for Consignaction can recycling bins! So, I got back to work in the evenings after coming home from my job! I designed the flap, and the next day, I had a first functional piece in my hands. I then spent several months testing it on the Consignaction bin in my garage, testing the mechanism and making various improvements to achieve a reliable and efficient product.
In May 2025, I put the final version up for sale on FB Marketplace. That's when everything took off! Messages and requests quickly multiplied, and during that summer, I sold over 150 of them!
In May 2026, my product allowed me to sign a contract with a company in the region and scale up significantly. I had to purchase 4 additional printers to meet demand. Over the next 3 months, I sold almost twice as many as in the entire previous year.
KS Koncept Today
What started with a 3D printer, a lot of curiosity, and a desire to create has gradually become a real business.
This evolution has allowed me to develop a great collaboration with a local company, design new products, officially register my business, and create my online store.
What was initially a passion is now a business in which I am fully invested and which I take great pleasure in developing.
